James Strong is probably one of the most saught after TV drama directors. He is perhaps best known for Broadchurch, for which he was nominated for Best Director at the BAFTA Craft Awards 2014, the same year the show won Best Drama Series at BAFTA. He won Best Director at the BAFTA Cymru Awards, 2008, for the Doctor Who Special 'Voyage of the Damned'.
James also directed the acclaimed Vanity Fair for Mammoth Screen/ ITV/ Amazon the 3-part drama series Liar for ITV, as well as Bad Robot’s 11.22.63 and Code of a Killer.
Upcoming shows include Council of Dads, an NBC 10-parter produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and Liar 2 to be aired in the Spring of 2020 - and Vigil; a BBC thriller set on a nuclear submarine, featuring “Gentleman Jack” and “Doctor Foster” star Suranne Jones.
James will be available for Commercials projects in the UK from November 2021.
